Hello folks,my 2009 1.4 petrol (40K on clock) has been a little juddery at low revs for a few weeks and this morning coming back off nights I got the "anti-pollution fault" and engine management light on.Took for a quick spin, fault comes on but the fan continues to run with engine off.Was going to give it a basic service soon anyway, air filter, oil, plugs etc and was wondering where the fuel filter (if any) is located and is it an easy(ish) job to do.Thought I'd do it to see if faults are rectified before getting a second opinion on Planet from a helpful member and fin ding something more major.:(

I think the fuel filter is built into the fuel pump and doesn't require changing, this is the case on one of the 1.4 engine types.

Just in case look your car from below near fuel tank you will see pipelines coming out and if your engine mounts interchangeable filter version, you'll see it clearly.

This photo is from an audi but location should be similar.

There are models that doesn't have replaceable filter as it is built in fuel pump but not sure which of them are built in this way.

Hope it helps, cheers
