I'm sure someone has mentioned this before, but are there any plans to change the forum catergories?

I'm about to post one about an air intake on a 307, however this could go into both 2 door and 5 door sections, even though the question isnt specific to either, i'd post it in Maintenance but it isnt strictly suited for there either, its just a general question i have

Does anyone else agree that these need to be restructured a bit to make each catergory more specific?

Cheers

Hi Rich

Yes, I posted that very observation when I first joined.

I too think that sections would be best aligned to model, rather than body shape.

Doing a re-org may just take some time to shuffle things....

Admin - I am sure your new recruits would help! - just need to close the forum for the weekend to do it.

will update soon..

  • Off Topic
  • Sightings
  • Meetings
  • Introductions
  • Showroom (replacing Rides)

Peugeot Model Specific Maintenance and Repair
  • 106
  • 107

  • Older Models (203/403/404/405/504/505/604 etc)

Peugeot Tuning & Modifications
  • Audio and Multimedia

  • Performance modifications
  • Body modifications
  • Detailing
  • Gadgets

Classifieds
  • Cars
  • Spares and accessories
  • Everything else
  • Wanted

In terms of migration to the new structure, I would go for a general search by model and move en-mass to the specific section. There will no doubt be some cleam up afterwards, but it will be 85% right at first pass.

Ok- comments.... shoot me down!

looks good david ,
wonder can we use the fact that the 307 is so popular (faulty), ie like a certain other *07 forum but with all models instead of just the 307,maybe not possible just a thought.:ask:

Not sure I get that!

What do you mean re other models?

if we are to make the change, then we should accomodate all models, even if they are empty for a while... no point in getting things mixed up...again.

I dont know what most users do, but I always use the posts new since last time search...

I think I got that, and before I ignore that post... these are section headings plus subsections....

Really hope that makes sence, as it would be great to move towards something like it.

I quite like that proposed setup :thumb:

No point splitting them into 3/5 doors either, that can be determined in each individual thread if needed, most threads are for generic problems anyway
