Got a nasty squeeking sound from what i assume is the DMF when setting off in 1st when clutch is in biting point mode so i plan to replace it within the next month or so, im going to source the bits myself then use my other half's brother to do the labour to reduce the price of it all. Im looking for the best place to buy the flywheel from wether it be another DMF or a solid one and should i bother replacing the clutch too? moneys a bit tight and its only done 50k this one so was thinking of leaving it alone for now. thoughts please :) ..

cheers

Definately go for a solid one with a new clutch too. Better job.

Not that i would recommend this, but when the dmf let go in my uncles Mondeo they welded it up again somehow! Dunno if it's even possible on a Pug and obviously you'd have some balancing issues, but that was 6 yrs ago and it's still going....100,000 miles later.....
