I have a 2006 Peugeot 307s and for the last 2 months the engine management light has been coming on and off displaying ' Faulty Antipollution' on screen. When i start the car in the morning I try to rev the engine but it cuts out. After over-revving to try and produce some back pressure the car moves off, starts to shudder and I need to press the clutch down so that it doesnt stall. It's fine over 20mph but when i slow down at junctions, the engine wants to cut out.

Ive taken it to a local garage who have changed the coil pack and part of the exhaust that joins the cat but it still isn't fixed. Ive also taken it to Peugeot who can only tell me that the diagnostics show misfiring faults and they want £100 an hour to try and find out the problem.

I want to sell the car but can't because of this issue, can somebody please offer me some advice!

I assume its a petrol, have the low input wires been checked for the coil?
Also has it had new plugs and fuel filter etc done?
Had it actually had diagnostics done? What has that come up with?
