Hi all,
I have a peugeot 207 1.6 sedan 2012.Had a faulty alternator with light dimming/flickering all the time. Dash light is dim all the time and radio stopped working
I sent the pug to the local workshop recently and mechanic said he serviced the alternator. He did do something to it but not sure what. It still has the same old faulty alternator on and lights are still flickering but the battery still has juice and its not draining
Checked the battery with the voltmeter method and readings shows that the battery is charging .
I am wondering now if the flickering /dim lights are caused by the "serviced" alternator or did i get my money cheated on

Bad earth is not the only reason. In fact I doubt it. More probably the reason is that voltage regulator on the alternator is faulty and can't keep constant voltage. You need to check this ASAP because you will fry all electronic if this is the case.

Is the connector to the alternator supposed to have only one wire coming out? (Blue wire)
