Hi,
I have P0120 which PP2000 returns:

P0120 EGR Butterfly position fault
EGR solenoid 99%
RPM 803
EGR Throttle 64%
Intake Air 524 MG/Impulse

And P0485 which PP2000 returns:

P0485 inconsistency between fan speed and setting
Coolant temp 83c
Air temp 27c

I have researched both faults which seem to be P0120 throttle sensor fault
and P0485 fan relay.

The only symptom i have is the engine is lumpy at about 1200 RPM.

Any input would be appreciated.

no idea on the other one
Hi bridplumber,

No I changed the ERG solenoid a few days ago as I had no EGR now the EGR is opening ok looking at the airflow figures in pp.
What is classed as the EGR butterfly, is it the one at the top of the engine just above the Vacuum pump?

when i had this problem i had an air leak to the top butterfly, it didn't hold vac, test this by sucking on the pipe and see if it stays open. if not all i did was take the adjustment screw out and fit a small o ring then put the screw back in and havent had the problem since. worth a try :thumb:

Thanks bridplumber,
I'll take a look at the butterfly.

dpf removal been done a while now and all good. just cant be bothered to blank the egr valve while it's still working ok. not been long since the whole lot was removed and cleaned and a oil catch can put in to stop it getting smegged up again.

P0120 Hasn't returned for 5 days now, I think it's gone for good.:D

The P0485 hasn't come back either but I'm expecting this to show up if the air warms up again to around 27c.
