Morning guys! So I'd been problem free for a little while with the pug, then recently it occasionally develops an unwillingness to boost normally and at the same time the brake pedal goes hard, making stopping the car a bit of a challenge. I know both systems operate off the vacuum pump on the right side of the engine, but what i don't understand is why it turn the engine off and back in again, boost and brakes return to normal? Can anyone offer some advice or help please as i had a slight change of pants incident on the way into work this morning
