I have just purchased a 2004 307 cc cabriolet in Sydney and had it transported to Warrnambool Victoria Australia
I cant find out which 2 litre engine it has as there are no books
I want to get the timing belt changed
it has only done 77000 km since new, sounds perfect, passed RWC, but not knowing its history I want to change this
The mechanic said they would have to get the old belt off, measure pulleys, then they would know which engine and what parts to order!
Would the engine number tell whether it is the lower or high horsepower motor?

if your mechanic does not know how to find the info for the correct belt without dismantling then i would be thinking does he know what is doing
