Engine fault Repair needed

Starting the car today I got this error (Engine fault Repair needed) and driving it onto the road noticed a lack of power. I returned home and called roadside assistance. They advised they can't detect the error code, as the scanner wasn't receiving any data from the car. Tried starting the car a few times, but the error is persistent.

I will need to tow the car to the Peugeot service centre, as it's a long weekend, I have to wait until Tuesday morning. It's Saturday here now.

The car has been running fine for the past three years with no problems. I took it for service two weeks ago, and now this error. I'm fairly disappointed with this situation. I've been running Peugeots since 2000 and initially the service was great, but recently not so good.
