Having problems with my 2l turbo van where I had the gear box and it’s wont start taken it to another garage on Friday for the fault codes to be read they came back to me Friday night saying that there reading can’t pick up
The live data to see if the crank is working on ecu or to move the fault codes ! Any ideas ??

That means the ecu is not waking up or has no power most likely and this might be the real reason for no start
would have been better keeping it all on the same thread though.

Also depends what they are using some snap on etc stuff cant read these very well.

It is woken up by turning on the key ! but it will not fully wake if the key is not recognised Should be red light on top of dash that flashes when ignition on it should go out if i remember correctly but depends on age again if it has it.

Check the double relay on inner wing but also listen for tank pump when you turn on ignition you should hear tank pump check the isolator button on strut tower drivers side if it has it they dont all have it sorry but a good garage knows all this its all things i would check in my garage !
