I have had new ecu and bsi fitted to my car as the ecu was badly corroded, presumably from water damage. Should I be worried that this is just going to happen again, as nothing else has been changed with the repair? I've read about leaky coolant thermostat sensors causing this when the coolant goes up through the wiring loom. Should I be checking for things like that?

Likely the 307 has had some idjit jetwashing the engine bay without protecting the ecu and fusebox. I had two 307's, a 55 plate and an 04 plate. Both had done well over 100,000 miles and no issues with the ECU on either of them.

Ok, that's reassuring. The engine bay was immaculate when I bought it recently, so no doubt it had been cleaned out
