Ha ha sorry - put that info in other thread! The car is a 2005 407 SW estate, 1.6 Hdi. Is there more than one type of engine that goes in those?Does it look the same as yours?
Is yours a 16v twin cam ?
Is it off the same type of engine?
All you've told us about your car is that it's 110bhp!
bought the whole assembly...It shall not be purchased separately. Camshaft bearings races are machined after this cap is torqued down to the main part of the cylinder head.
Hence fitting a different one may lock up your camshafts completely.
Either get a complete replacement head, or take the existing one off and get the hole/crack welded if its possible.
It didn't fall off in the driveway...Don't think its driveable without the power steering :nono: try turning the steering when switched off, it wont get any easier than that PLUS if you have a crash your insurance will be void !!!
