Hey all, I've had a search through the forum but haven't been able to find any information on the problem I am having.

I own a 2002 Rapier 3 Door 2.0 HDi which I've had for just over a year now. The other day it came up with a message saying the remote battery needed changing which got me thinking whether I could use the car without using the remote locking.

Turns out I can't as the key will go in to the driver's door but the barrel won't turn one bit. In all honesty I am thinking it could just be seized up as I've never used it, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had a similar problem.

The car has been a Cat D job at some point so it could be a case that the door was replaced along with a different barrel? If that is the case then is it easy and cheap enough to get all the barrels replaced?

If not then it isn't then end of the world as I have since replaced the battery in the fob anyway.

Regards,

Michael
