Anyone fitted a double din player to their 307? (In my case. 2.0HDi, 2005.)

Looking to fit a bluetooth/DAB variant.

Any problems/pitfalls/tips please?

I’ve fitted a Kenwood double DIN unit in my 307 SW SE (2004).

After removing the radio and CD changer, I had to cut out a small bit of plastic (that ran horizontally between both of the above units).

You’ll need to use the cage that comes with the new unit to secure it.

Also, make sure you get a wiring harness/adaptor, steering stalk/wheel control adapter and aerial adapter.

You can also fit a DAB filter and use the original car aerial for both DAB and FM, which means you don’t have to stick a film aerial (supplied with the new unit) to your windscreen.

Let me know if you have any questions, or need links to the parts!

Many thanks for that.

I take it that it's a standard size for the double din unit, no matter which manufacturer you buy, and that they will all slot into the aperture?

Like the idea of the dab filter to use the standard aerial. A pic of one would be nice if you have one, so I know what to look for, but is performance good with one?

All in all, apart from the size of the unit, connections, including the steering wheel adaptor, are much the same as a standard small unit?
