Hi everyone can anyone tell me what the differences are between the 2.0 hdi 140 bhp and the 160 bhp. Please. Thanks.

It's mainly the engine mapping. Same turbo and injectors fitted. I know some people on the ford forum have used the 160 ecu config file on the 140 and got the higher power

Thanks for that. So it’s just a case of getting it remapped then. So if you remap the 160 to say 190 roughly (safely) in theory the one 140 could be pushed to 190 as well with out any mods. ???

I would expect so I have not looked that closely other than turbo and injectors.

On the Ford forum I think they found the 140 map was identical to the 160 and there was literally only one limiter that needed changing.

The peugeot uses different software so it may not be the same. Peugeot 163 can be remapped to around 190-195 with no issues i have my DS mapped

That would be interesting to know about the software. I might have to have another word HDI tuning and see what they can tell me. Thanks again.

The map address 200070 appears standard across most software versions and appears to be a max torque limiter used to limit power to 140 or 163

It was the same value on my and son in laws DS5 & 4 (with different software versions) and Ford forum users were who highlighted that address.

My only concern is that it is either a checksum and people are getting confused or it some kind of mapped bits as my tuned file has a very different figure which does not appear to translate in any way to a torque value (unless its subtracted as the tuned file is a lower number)

Ok so a checksum is a reference point to check for errors long time since I talked about this stuff. And by altering they could be causing issues. I think I will leave well alone and leave it to the professionals. 😂 who remapped your cars?

Yeh seen some interesting articles on it. And has definitely got my interest. Although I noticed everyone was saying this is for the DW10C where as I think mine is DW10B (think that’s what I saw on servicebox and eBay when looking for parts) so would this still apply?

What ECU does it have the ones with the DCM3.5 Delphi ECU are the ones that this applies to. I think the 10B is Siemens injection
