Is there any way to tell which engine is which ? I bought my 508 about 7 months ago from a Peugeot dealer, had a bit trouble with it before even leaving the forecourt, soon after, and later on aswell, so have lost all trust in them
I bought it on the pretense that it was the 163bhp model, as advertised and on further correspondence regarding warranty offers, even though from bitter experience absolutely nothing is covered, but I digress, and have got a trade in quote (thats how peeved I am) from another manufacturer and it seems to be registered as 140bhp !!
Is there any sort of nameplate on the engine that states the power ? Or is it possible to identify the engine by a diagnostic scanner ? My uncle is a mechanic next door
