Hello all, bought diagbox off ebay 2 weeks ago and after severall attempts got it load but when I click the icon to start it the screen comes up and say please wait configuing software support. After serveral minuets it just says please wait and then slowly dissappears from the screen completly and the laptop runs so slow nothing at all works.
Now I am by no means a computer person but I can usually get it to do a loaded program, this one just seams to freeze the machine and do nothing.
Anybody got any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong !! as I really want tlo stop the stop light flashing on my expert van and might well be getting an 807 for the family and want to get this all up and running.

Hi and thanks for the reply.I'm using windows XP with a pentium 3 processor I think (presume) it's a 32 bit but to be honest i dont know for sure and the laptop is a panasonic cf-28.This is all a bit new to me as i only use the computers for surfing the net and have no use for them in daily work life so there for I'm pretty usless.

thats fine it shouldnt be a computor fault..narrows it down to softwear or install instructions..do you know what version of diagbox you got? for xp it should be 5.somthing ..also did you get install instructions with it.did you follow them correctly..it sounds like its not installed correctly..xp is normally straight forward..

No instructions came with it just a disc.Put disc in and it starts to install straight away,no way (that I know of) to do anything but let it do its thing.Tryed to re install it today and now all i get is a black screen with simbat on start up and then another black screen over it with eDiagbox and C/: flashing in the corner these then dissappear and then nothing works when I klick on the icon for diag box. The sandglass comes up but nothing happens.
So thinking its either me (computers dont like working for me even self serve check out in tesco's wont work if I get near it) OR the program is buggered.

Ok so this were I show my total inability with basic computing.
1-first bit is a load of rapid share files which I don't understand or know how to operate.
2-the pp down load think I can do that but once it is saved on my comp;uter what do I do with it ?
See I just don't use the wonderfull computer for anything practical and they didnt exist like this when I was at school so its got to do it itself or I get left behind very quickly as I just never been told how to operate one I'm a steel concrete and spanners man computer logic just 'aint logical to me.
So any basic pointers are greatfully recieved.
Must of been lucky with the vauxhall programs as I just put the disc in and haypressto all worked, could scan the car and all nice and easy.
Never mind it will either work or get sold back on ebay as seller says I'm the only one who's had a problem.

Hi all, the seller has said he can send me install instructions so I'll get them and see where I got it wrong.Although if nothing is asked for I don't see where I went wrong.Reading on this forum with people saying about activation codes and the like I have never seen any thing like that !!
But then I never got past it checking something and dissappearing.
So lets hope.

Not had a chance to play with it this weekend so probably try end of this week.supplier has sent so instructions which may as well be in chinese (in fact they are with english beside ) Like I said what most people consider very basic computing is like advanced astro physics to me !! In fact I've probably got a better understaning of those principles than I have of get this blo***y program loading.
Betty S. thanks for trying to help but I have absolutly no idea how I find out what the file types are.
Seriously thinking of getting a computer expert to do it for me and just pay him. Or sell the lot and buy a nice Mk 1 transit with no wizardery in it at all.
Or buy a mazda they never let me down.
God wish I understode these computers.
Thanks for all your help guys will keep you posted:thumb:
