Has anyone previously had a car into the dealership for a "recall repair" and they have automatically done a Vehicle Health Check and apparently found loads wrong with it and stating it should not have recently passed an MOT???:mad:

Sounds like Halfords when they're touting for work.

Do you have any more details - what they found wrong, pictures of the faults, what the MOT garage has said?

The car had an MOT completed in March this year, had no advisories on it at all and passed.

In its total history it failed once and that work was nothing to do with what has been apparently found by the dealership and this was fixed.

There are some minor things which may have happened since the MOT but the main ones are rear suspension springs and shock absorbers heavily corroded, both brake pipes corroded and Radiator lower crimping heavily corroded which i am sure cannot just appear in just over a month!!

Wonder if anyone else has had issues with Peugeot dealerships trying it on

Hi...the radiator crimping is not an mot fail...and the corroded rear springs and shocks are in his opinion corroded..I think he is a service 'technician' looking to advise on things that may cause problems later..the 'M.O.T. tester is looking at 'testable items that reach the basic mininmum requirements' at the time of the test..lots of difference there...and there is a lot of difference between 'main dealer'fitters and real world fitters..(ive been both)..nothing to worry about but dont think the mot is more than a 'sniff'around'not a major service
