It is starting to behave like the larger one, losing pixels when getting warm.
Does anyone know where one can find one
Car is a 2004 407 Exclusive 2,2l 16V Sedan.

I have been told that the LCD's PCB stores the mileage. The mileage is also stored in the BSI. If you change the LCD the system will take the higher of the two mileage numbers. So used LCDs are risky unless the used LCD mileage is lower than the current mileage. A brand new replacement doesn't carry that risk obviously.

I just asked the seller of the LCD (ebay link you posted) about this. He says there will not be a problem - his product is brand new and anyway the mileage comes from the instrument cluster not the LCD PCB.

So I've ordered. Anybody know how to remove the cluster to get at the LCD?

Hello i got a complete cluster for my 407.....or the other car had the same miles has mine or there is nothing to do with changing lcd or any other thing. Or the other car had the same miles or the millage is stored somewhere else. The only thing that changed was i had on Trip one 345 miles and when i connected the new one was on `0`.

PLSSSSS use plastic things to take the cluster above the holes you dont need to do it with nails in the holes
