Hi i'm a new member from Coventry , I'm buying a new 2008 this week. On my last 2008 I had the dashcam hard wired in. It has just occurred to me that this could affect my cars warranty does anybody have any information on this ?
Halfords advertise that they fit them ?

I suppose if it was done incorrectly by hacking into the loom and covering with a bit of PVC tape rather than using a correct hard wire kit then I guess it would affect the warranty but if done correctly using the correct materials then I can't see why it would. It's really no different to plugging an item into the Aux power socket.

I'll go along with Storeman on that, a friend had one fitted to a 306 after confirming the details with his dealer - but it has to be done to a professional standard by a professional dealer......
