Hello,
two weeks ago I have retrofitted the cruise control without speed limiter to my 207CC cabrio 1.6 THP, (model year 2007). Activation in ECU and BSI was smooth and everything worked like a charm for a few first days.
Phase 1: No problems at all
Phase 2: After about a week the cc started to behave strangely. Sometimes it did not react to buttons pressed (must be pressed several times to activate), sometimes I only have two -- or previously selected speed (for example OFF 70 km/h) flashing. Usually the cc works fine for a few minutes, then it wents off. Things that help (usually you have to try at least two of them)
a) while driving, switch the cc off and on again (sometimes helps)
b) slow down to zero speed, accelerate again (sometimes helps)
c) restart the engine (sometimes helps)
These three workarounds worked fine till yesterday...
Sometimes the cc also seems to be puzzled, when gear shifting (while accelerating) goes like 1-2-4 or 1-2-3-5 (it then ignores the correct 4th or 5th gear)
Phase 3, yesterday: just two -- flashing, no error message, no cruise control at all, the diagnostics shows no faults
Well, after searching the forums, I removed, disassembled and cleared the brake switch (four wires), checked the functionality with Diagbox, both positions of brake switch are working fine, as well as the clutch switch.
After this procedure, I am back in "phase 2", the behavior of cruise control is erratic, sometimes fine, sometimes not working.
Thank you for your help!
