Hi
I've received replacement crank pulley for my 307SW however its a different type to the old one (see images). Does this make any difference or should I go for exact same type?

Would appreciate any advice please.

Also I cant get the pulley bolt undone, would cranking the engine with a bar on the bolt be advisable?

Cheers

Check rotation of the engine. If it is clockwise then the thread should be rh and yes a blip of starter motor should nudge it free. But make sure the socket fits fully and there is room for the bar to swing. Normally half a turn will do. But also remember to isolate the fuel/ign before turning the key. As regards the pulley I would expect it to be identical to the old one. Did you supply the chassis and engine number when ordering?

thanks for the reply much appreciated.

when ordering the part i just supplied the registration number in the Mister auto website. There were several pully's which fitted the car. I did not realise what it looked like at the time so I went with the pic in the Haynes manual. The dimensions however are the same.
