When reversing on full lock, but only when it's very cold, as in below freezing, we get a loud crack from the front end.

Doesn't happen going forward, or when things warm up.

Any ideas?

Thought it might be a CV joint on the way, but that would normally show going forwards on full lock too.

If it's when you first pull away it could possibly be the brake pads unsticking themselves from the brake discs perhaps?

No, it's after reversing straight for a short distance, then going full left lock to turn. There is a slight kerb at his point too which might be affecting things. But it only happened when very cold.

It's not doing it now that it's warmer.
