hi guys,

I'm thinking of changing my '07 407 for a '14 508, I'm getting a some kinda good deal, the problem or issue is that all those 508 came without the GPS screen besides being sold as an allure package, the came with the multifunction screen, rear sensors and normal headligths.

The dealer here is a crappy one, so not much to do there, so I've been seeing some android units that can be installed to the 508 and you get supposedly all the functions, but they don't show if the trip computer and all vehicle alerts will be shown on the android screen, such as, low pressure tire, any malfunction, trip computer, etc...

Also I was wondering if I can put LED ligths to the headlights low and high beams without getting a faulty message.


Also is there a way to install a DRL system? can I sawp for the new foglights that come with the newers versions.

Also the car comes with motorized headlights...not auto, but they can be leveled from inside the car.

I live in Dominican Rep laws are not as strict as Europeans one...

I rather get HID systems, but seems they burn out the wipers motors.

Really need your help.

The recent android units will show you car temperature and parking sensors, but don't expect full integration with all error messages, trip computer etc
It will be the basic minimum and should be grateful for the parking sensor.... my unit is one of the first lots and it doesn't show parking sensor nor does it show temperature.... I don't miss it.
Furthermore, once you install the android unit, the central dashboard (next to speedometer) will not show details such as radio station or track being played.

If you are referring to just changing the H7 bulb with a LED H7 bulb, then you can however find many online (amazon, ebay...etc) that are error free
But even though your laws in Dom Rep are more lenient, I would check if changing to these bulbs voids your insurance just in case you are in a collision
or if you have circus like the MOT in UK as it will fail that (but easy swap before the test)

All Peugeots even the most basic ones come with DRL.... I have swapped my DRL bulb with an LED one (cree for good power), and it gives a strong white light now.
you just need to buy regular P13W bulbs but make sure not too long or they will not fit/.... this is a very easy swap and less than a fiver

I'm gonna stick to the standar radio, maybe I can get an original unit from a scrap car!

I'm gonna use an ipod, so I won't need much, just was for the backup camera.

So it's a NO to install an aftermarket HID system? I've been reading they tend to burn out the wiper motors. Seems the same as the 407...

And another question is it possible to swap the RT4 for RT6 radio? on the 508.

Just swapped my old off-white DRL's to the new super white ones as shown above, only took 5 x minutes and makes a massive difference now looks modern and up to date...:thumb:

there are 30W, 50W and 80W bulbs... what did you buy and I'm guessing you don't have any errors on your dash board but did you have to buy any specific bulbs or look for any specific feature
