Hi All, had my 1 year old 2 litre HDi SW for a few days and really pleased with it but thought would ask here about this.

The water temperture needle never goes higher than 85 C even on a long (160 mile) run. Ambient temp varied between 6 C and 12 C. The vertical position of the needle (which I always thought was arranged to be the normal position) is 90 C.

Is this ok? It's going in on Wednesday for a few things to be sorted out so I can mention.

Regards.

All you have to worry about is if it doesn't move at all or moves to the top of the gauge. The car will give you plenty of warning!!

Ok, thanks both. I have to admit that I do suffer from a bit of paranoia re warm up times, heater effectiveness etc.
