Dealer recommended new timing belt on warranty. .Car was at 136k kms . The car was in for new wing mirror and repair of injectors. At 138 k km the head gasket blew with crack in no 4 cylinder bore. Injectors 3 and 4 had been repaired. This was 2 weeks later 9th may. The car was in garage and returned to us on 26th april.
There was a liquid movement sound from engine area at start up but 5 miles later the STOP warning and overheating indicator on gauge came on.

The garage has stated this could happen at any time and is coincidental. They refused to take any responsibility or even meet us half way..

So what are the probable causes of such failure
