So my 207 Coolant temp sensor popped out today and coolant went everywhere. On a 70mph road, I suddenly had no control over the speed of the car. I pulled over and the red battery light came up. White smoke coming out of engine bay, black oil under the engine. Fitted the sensor again, topped up the coolant and did the necessary checks and car started for a little while (albeit with loud rattling noises) and then stopped. Nothing, just a clicking noise each time I try to start it up. Looked underneath and the attached photo is what I see. Have I blown the head gasket? Or is this something I can sort? I don’t think I’m ready to send it to Pug heaven just yet!
