I'm about to change the coolant on our 2012 308SW Access 1.6 diesel. I've found the bleed screw on the coolant housing as per the Haynes manual but I can't see the one mentioned on the heater outlet hose. Can someone please confirm that there is one there before I start to pull all the air filter housing out to try to find it? Also, Haynes mentions an engine (block) drain plug "located in the coolant manifold at the rear of the cylinder engine". Can someone please give me a clue to its location as I can't get to the back of the engine to see anything: space really seems tight all round. Thanks for any help you can give.

I’ve never used another one

Undo the radiator pipe and let it drain

To clean properly best to run a light mix then redrain or take radiator off and reverse flush

If the coolant isn’t neglected just emptying and refilling is fine

When you start the car undo the bleed nipple on the thermostat housing it can get hot

Make sure the heater is on and on maximum heat

Keep the coolant cap off and give the coolant pipes a squish

Forgot to mention when running with the cap off make sure it gets up to tempreture so the water goes through the radiator
