Hi. I've just gone to pull off and the car was beeping. The coolant level warning and STOP warning started flashing so I pulled up and popped the bonnet.
Coolant is full, no silly noises, no excessive heat.
After I'd checked everything I decided to try get home, a drive of 2 miles at most.
It was sitting at me for first half of the trip then stopped.
I've parked it up, left it for 10 mins then gone back out to it.
Fired it up and it's running smooth as ever.
Any ideas, is it possible it was just a hiccup?

2.0 diesel estate on 04 plate.
Cheers folks

I'd check the battery first, when they are past their best and stop charging properly they can start to cause errors to be thrown up like this. Should be giving over 12V when the car is off. Otherwise check the coolant level sensor, if your car has one on the expansion bottle, and the wiring from it.
If it doesn't pop up again then I wouldn't worry as long as you have plenty of coolant and the top radiator hoses are warm when it's up to temperature and it doesn't overheat.

I usually get this when my coolant is slightly low, a quick top up sorts it out.

I know this can't help you, but I'd write it off for now :)

Thanks folks. Checks all done and everything I can check SEEMS fine.
Looks like I'll just have to keep my eye on it for a while.
Thanks again.
