Hi,

I'm hoping someone may be able to help..

My clutch/gearbox appeared ok, but on Friday out of knowhere on a roundabout I tried to get my car into gear and it is making a grinding noise as I lift the clutch up, won't go into gear.

It is a Peugeot 208 1.6 HDi 2015 (45,000 miles) - please can someone let me know if they have any idea what this may be and if it is likely to be wear and tear or a fault that can be repaired under Manufacturers warranty? The dealership have said if it is the clutch plate (which is obviously wear and tear) this is likely to be £800 and not covered. I'm not sure if this is the same if it is a release bearing?

Anyway, i've videoed what is happening (trying to show clutch working as best as poss) - photos.app.goo.gl/varKR1sWAAxQhCuC3

Would really appreciate any advice!
Thanks,
Matt
