hi all , i have a 307 sw estate with the rhr engine , which always smokes badly when been left for a few hours , but runs fine once its warm.
been playing with pp2000 when its cold and looking at the parameters
discovered the catalytic converter downstream temperature was reading 100 degrees C , even though it had not been started for 3 days , does anyone no if this is correct ?
thanks in advance

thanks for the reply , didnt think that was right !
servicebox says part number is 1618LP
PUG say its been discontinued and replaced by 1618Z9
the latter looks different only 1 fixing hole as opposed to 2
plenty of room (behind the battery ) so will give it a go when it turns up on friday

Not sure if its the same on RHR but on RHS downstream sensor is only used to sense if DPF is regenerating during regen cycles.

funny enough today i had mil light on and pp2000 said the catalytic converter down stream temperature too high!
so that would make sense if the sensor was already reading 100 degrees C
when cold
if the sensor replacement will make any difference to the smoke problem remains to be seen

checked the wiring and connectors to the sensor , replaced it , fired it up and ..... just the same!
