I'm getting a donor car tomorrow for interior stuff like leather seats, headliner, door cards and I wanted to change the carpet because mine is ripped and stained. Do I need to take the whole dashboard out to get the carpet out? I've already stripped my seats, headliner and handbreak cover out but I've hit a deadend with the carpet going behind the dash. I've searched for a thread but no explanation of how to remove carpet and the haynes manual doesn't say

I answered my own question today, the whole dash needs to come out to get the carpet in/out on the hatchbacks. If anyone wants to know how to do this then leave a message and I'll walk you through it because the haynes manual only describes the facia

You dont need the dash out it is a tight fit but once the extra bracket is out you just lift the carpet over everything on the floor then pull it back
How do you get the extra bracket out? It looks like it's welded to the metal work in the dash?
