Hello people. Wanted the forums opinion on whether it’s worth getting my 2004 Peugeot 307 HDI carbon engine cleaned? It’s done 156000m and regularly does 20+ miles a day 7 Days a week. Is it worth it, if so any recommendations?

Snake oil in a tin ?

Years ago when I owned a Saab 99 I used to take the vacuum hose off the intake manifold and stick it in the brake reservoir and create holy smoke cheap redex decoke 2 star petrol days
All the years later we are still trying to remove unwanted carbon stuck on engine parts
Seen people use water sprays and think that stuff uses a hydrogen gas ?

Did a terraclean fuel treatment and there was an improvement for a week and then that carbon stuck the EGR to create a fault
Stuff smelt like brasso

If it aint broke ? why fix it ?

Think some engine design has gone mental as the carbon build up on PSA Prince

Fixed my Mot emissions fail with mechanic in a bottle Cataclean
Fixed my stuck EGR with mechanic in a tin Wynns EGR spray

Is there a DIY equivalent
rather than have a man in a van watching a clock revving the nads of your motor ? and paying him £££ to do it ?

Supermarkets should sell groceries and not crappy fuel
