I had a very similar issue with my 307 (2004) 1.6 petrol (manual not auto).

The car would start to idle badly and as soon as I stepped on the accelerator it would instantly stall.

Sometimes the car would restart again immediately, other times it wouldn’t.

The problem would often happen when slowing up at a roundabout or in traffic.

I also noticed that the fuel pump was louder than normal. Have you got this symptom too?

I’ve since replaced the fuel pump and it’s been fine!

I think I have some of your symptoms.. specially when I slow down car stopped

I didn't notice any changes in pump sound.. I hear it only when I put keys.

I'm gonna change it and I will clear the tank.

I have question.
can I put fuel filter.. will affect on anything.

thank you for reply

My car doesn’t have a fuel filter, but some versions do.

I believe this is determined by the original location of sale (poor fuel quality or climate issues).

Good luck with the pump replacement!
