Hi again all,

Really struggling with this now as after adding some injector cleaner it ran for about 4 hours with little to no hesitation and then started doing it again. It tends to happen when on light throttle and when it starts coming on boost. It's also not throwing any codes or check engine lights.

I've already replaced the EGR valve and the MAF sensor which has put me down $500 so far in just parts (the joys of New Zealand) and there's so many things this could be that I have no clue where it could be.

I have done some live diagnosis driving which showed that both air flow and fuel pressure were cut at the same time when it stutters so it wasn't massively helpful.

I have a feeling it may be to do with a fuel filter as I have zero clue when the fuel filter was last changed but I suspect it was a while ago, especially seeming as it cleared for a bit after using the cleaner.

It also has a code for a glow plug relay error P1351 however, this shouldn't affect it unless it's under -1C

If anyone else has some theories, please let me know and I'll see if I can put them to the test.

Thanks in advance :)

(Note: This is a 207 HDi 16 with the engine code 9HZ, forgot to mention that as I was in a rush, may have also come off as a bit rude so apologies :p)

Did you re-learn the new EGR?

As for glow plugs, they're used all year round at all positive temperatures after starting to reduce smoking.
I didn't relearn it as I don't have access to PP2000 or Lexia and the nearest person with it is a 5 hour drive one way. Is there an easier way to do it?

There should be a forum rule demanding disc.starters to clearly state car model, year and engine....or thread be closed.
Not all engines use plugs during driving...
HI.....there is a 'guide for new members ...HERE...that explains the forum etiquette..perhaps instead of 'demanding'' information you could ask politely...
There is also a link to 'forum rules' below

Sorry. Forgot that info, was sitting in a maccas car park during my short break so was trying to post as fast as possible. Will update the post and sorry for seeming a bit rude at the same time

Maybe try looking for an air leak after the MAF. Check along the CCV (PCV if petrol) pipework and the o-ring on the dipstick.
I had a look at all pipework between the MAF and the MAP and managed to find that the red seal that sits between the turbo inlet and intake piping was cracked and basically not on the turbo.

Managed to squeeze it back on for now while the bit is in the mail but keep having to push it back as the hoseclamp can't clamp as it just pushes it off.

Thanks for the suggestion, this has been driving me up the walls and hopefully it'll be the last I hear of it

Ok bit of an update.

I am still waiting on my seal to arrive, however I am noticing a more prevalent issue to do with the turbo.

I am getting lots of compressor stall (flutter) at low rpm as well as the turbo having a late pickup and then falling flat on its face. It seems sort of intermittent but doing what I was doing to fix the air leak seems to not fix it

When cold, it also has a bouncy idle where it will drop and pick up to 1000rpm then go back to normal as well as a fair amount of white smoke out the tailgate

I'm believing this to be the wastegate not functioning correctly however I don't know what would cause the rough idle.

Thanks in advance

Another update on this...

Got my dad to start it while I looked at the the wastegate and it seems to be operating about as normally as I can see. It moves when it starts and opens and closes when revved up to boost. However, it still has the compressor surge so I really have no clue what's going on...
