Well, luckily I managed to get all the work done on my car over the last few days and its like driving a different (& better) car, I've still got the glow plug relay outstanding but the part didn't arrive as it was supposed to, so it's back in next Thursday for that.

I have one issue which I would like to know if there is a simple fix for before I pay again.

My passenger side headlamp has water ingress, it has misted up and got a load of dead flies in it. Garage suggested a reconditioned headlamp unit at £53 or new for £141 (roughly). Is it possible to take out the unit, clean it up, reseal or will I end up with the same issue again?

Has anyone got any ideas as I'd rather try to salvage the old unit before purchasing another.

Many Thanks

Got this myself on drivers side

In my opinion its not worth getting it reconditioned, as for sealing it yourself i dont know if/how that'd be done

What im gonna do is get a working one off ebay, then have a crack at resealing my own, if it turns out good i'll refit and flog the ebay one!

Some bargains for grabs on there!

Remove the back cover and drive about with your lights on for a few days. The water will evaporate out with the heat of the bulb.
