Hi all,

I bought a used 407 year 2005, and there are a bit of shaking and knocking sound. Its not something major, just a minor irritation.

I have changed all the suspension bushing, absorbers and also the tyres, and the mechanic did mention that I seem to have minor steering rack issue, due to the knocking sound.

I would like to eradicate this problem once and for all...wondering if any of you guys faced this problem before.

How do i describe the shaking issue...imagine u are in a small boat and it wobble a bit side to side out at sea...quite noticeable on new hard tarred roads...

So before I send to a specialist, would like to get any feedbacks.

thanks

Its a front tyre !!!!!!! I had this on my last 407 and i think it's starting to do it on this one. If you drive at say 20mph and let go of the steering wheel does the steering wheel move back and forth but if you increase speed it settles down ?(get hold of the steering wheel lightly before increasing speed)

I notice you say you have changed tyres, did you swap them around or replace with new/different one's ??

the ride feels bit bumpy and harsh due to this wobbleness
