Well, I didn't think my dealer could get any worse. Aside from the fact they supplied my 3008 with a dent in the door, and a second dent that had been badly repaired, they are still telling me they need clarification of the Tom Tom Live Services set up, because it is "very involved".

So, I have spoken to another Peugeot dealer about this, and they have said completely the opposite, It is, they assure me, an extremely simple procedure, but can take up to 40 minutes. Unfortunately they are unable to do the job for me free of charge, as it has to be done by the supplying dealer.

On top of this I have been waiting 8 days for a simple service plan quote, and despite sending two e-mail reminders to the guy responsible, and one to the sales and after sales manager, I have got nowhere. In fact, they haven't even acknowledged them, although I have read/receipts to show they have read them.

So, roll on the satisfaction survey, because I am going to give them the worst possible rating, as well as reporting all of this to the Dealer Principal, and the MD of Peugeot UK.

If its any consolation Lee my dealer is finding it equally as hard. I just emailed him about it, if he is still incapable of filling in the one form and entering it on the Peugeot system I shall be making some phone calls to Peugeot.

Not good Lee.

I popped in to my dealer to go through financial paperwork the other day, and asked about service plans, and they did a quote for me there and then, took a couple of minutes.. no problem.

They quoted me £320 for 2 years servicing, or £13.33 per month incidentally. (was more for three year plan, but with PCP financing you may not need the third years service)

I'd would've thought any Peugeot dealer would do it for you free of charge.....I wonder how I would go on as I've ordered mine on a PCP from a lease company 40 miles away. I was banking on being able to take it to my nearest Peugeot dealer for things like this

I think it depends on whether or not they can bill Peugeot for the work carried out. If the Tom Tom service was supposed to be activated before delivery to the customer then that cost would come out of the profit the deliver made when selling the car.

As far as I'm aware you can take your Peugeot to any dealer for warranty work when it's under the 3 year warranty regardless of where you bought it from. I have always been able to do this in the past.

Yes, even though the other dealer was in the same group, it was a separate franchise. The cost of setting up Tom Tom was included in the purchase price of the car, so if another dealer is asked to do it they are giving their time for nothing. So, they wanted £60 to do it, but to be fair to them they said "it should have been done before handover, so tell your salesman to get off his ar** and do it". How true!!
