I am just finishing a Clutch change on a 106 1.1 L year 2000, and have this part left over. Unfortunately I cannot remember where it came from and do not seem to have anything missing. The threads are both M8 and total length about 10 cms.
It's driving me mad, hope someone can help. Hope picture is attached ok,
Regards

In case the picture is not clear, the part comprises a long M8 bolt with a short M8 stud coming from the bolt head which I have screwed a nut, probably would be clearer without nut. See attached. image.jpg

Looks like a casing bolt to me and the second part holds a plastic cable guide or similar possibly even a starter bolt and the second part should have the earth cable on it.

Thanks for your thoughts. It's definitely not from the starter motor, thus was retained by three standard hex head bolts. I have checked all round the connection between transmission and engine without finding any missing bolts.
The car is now on the road and running ok. The only answer I have is that it was not from this car but another family car I had worked on. However I really feel the garage was clear before I started and if it was from another car then that car has now has a part missing, but is working ok on the road. For information the last car I worked on about 5 months ago and was a MkI Fiat Punto.
