Evening all....I'm new to the Peugeot family but have encountered a problem already that I'm hoping you good folk might be able to enlighten me more on.

I have a 308 1.6 Petrol 08 plate 49k on clock, and it misfires terribly for about five seconds when it's cold and then runs like a dream. This has been diagnosed as the Camshaft Dephaser.

Two questions: How much should I be expecting to pay to get this replaced (I was told £50 for the part and five hours labour - OUCH)?

Also, will this likely cause any further damage if I ran it like it is for another month? Runms like a dream after those initial five seconds or so.

Any advice gleefully received. Cheers
