I am rebuilding my 307 1.6hdi 2008 plate Peugeot. After the water pump let go and took out the belt. I am looking at the camshaft bearing settings and the manual I have and it says 0.5Nm pre-tighten and then 1Nm tighten. This doesn't seem a lot to me. Can any one confirm these figures for tightness. If this is correct how do I achieve this as my wrench does not go anywhere near this low and I have looked around to purchase one and cant find any, other than the type with the separate bar and dial. I also have one of these but I find it's very hit and miss and hard to gauge.

Also is it normal to put thread lock on these bolts?

Any guidance on this matter would be great.
