Hi guys

I have a normally aspirated 1.9 diesel 206 registered in 2001. Can anyone tell me the recommended intervals for a cam belt change please?

Thanks in advance

Also looking for this information ...

Would you believe I have an identical vehicle and the very same problem ... no user manual etc and don't know the replacement interval for the timing belt?

So, if any kind soul out there does know the service interval there's at least two of us would benefit from the answer.

At the moment I'm sitting on about 55,000 miles / 7 years so I'm getting the feeling that its about due.

The other question is whether to just replace the belt or do a more extensive swap of pulleys etc?

Many thanks ...

It would be safer to do it wouldn't it?

Haynes recommend "standard is 80,000miles, but safer to half this to 40,000 miles."

Mine is due too :(

It is usual to replace water pump and idler pulley at the same time - as you get a new belt if either of these bits go in the next 7 years.
Also replace AUX belt at the same time, as it has to come off anyway.

If you go for a first change with all tensioners and pump, then an earlier change of belt only, you can get a longer run untill the next all-change.

I'm waiting till warmer weather :)
