When I bought the car last month I noticed a small bubble on the top of the reflective headlight lense. The bubble has now gotten significantly larger. The light on the affected side is not as bright, I checked to see if it was getting hot and it’s only a tiny bit hotter than the drivers side.

I will replace the bulbs as a just in case, I am hoping the bubble doesn’t flake off but I will end up replacing the whole light as it will bug me. Has anyone seen this before? Is it a case of hot bulbs?

I have attached a picture of both the bubbles and the normal headlight.

Thanks

That's the plating coming off the plastic moulding, possibly because of dampness. Doubt it's because of heat.

There doesn’t seem to be any visible moisture inside the unit, I know there are a few drops of water in the photo but that’s on the outside as it had been raining. I will put some heat through when I change the bulb to try and dry any moisture up under there out.

Thanks
