I'm looking to install some thin lights (DRL style) partly to act as better illumination when going to the car in the dark.

I figure that the best way to make them work is to wire either to the courtesy lights (which would be a chore), or to some kind of BSi switched live. Then they would come on when the car was unlocked and stay on until the Bsi went to sleep again, which probably matches with what I want. I might add an LDR in the circuit so they only come on at night.

Anyway, my question is where in the engine bay would I find a BSI switched live? Could I splice off of wherever it is the BSI is powered from in the engine fuse box?

TIA!

I fitted some to my old 307 and used a piggyback fuse from underbonnet fuse box where a found a switch feed.

I wired mine via a DRL smart relay. Which dims DRL's when headlights or indicators are switched on

That relay sounds like a good idea, thanks.

If I was to take a picture of the box, might you remember which one it was? Just trying to avoid testing every single one with the multimeter :D
