After putting in a new temp sensor in today, thought I would spray switch/electrical cleaner into the MAF sensor before refitting then softly wiped the inside with a tissue but felt the small wire sensor inside 'Snap' this has resulted in it reading that airflow is low and restricting it to max 4000rpm

My questions is can it be repaired by soldering in a replacement wire? if so what type of wire....
Or can sensor part just be replaced or do you have to replace the whole lot body as well?:thumb:

I bought a cheap £30 Ebay one for my 307 a few years ago and it did 15,000 miles without a single problem (I sold the car but I believe its still going strong).

You can get the genuine Pierburg one from Euro Car Parts quite cheap if you use of their 25% or 30% discounts.
