2001 307 HDI90. with engine off brake pedal is firm with little travel. Start up and apply pressure and pedal goes almost to floor before going solid. I`ve fitted new front discs/pads, servo and master cylinder (which I primed first). I`ve bled brakes manually and with gunson and had garage do them (including abs unit) but still same problem. Car stops fine. If I pull abs pump fuse and run, pedal stays up so I`m fearing the worst. Any ideas before I give in and go to local Peugeot.

If the rear brakes are drum I'd check the rear adjustment. Is the brake pedal higher when the handbrake is on ? If it is this points to rear auto adjusters being faulty.
