After replacing the brake fluid in my 407 the pedal travel has increased substantially and the brakes are no longer anywhere near as sharp as before. The pedal will also slowly go to the floor if you keep it pressed. I bleed the brakes the old fashioned way, pumping the pedal and outside with a jar and some clear tube. Everything seemed to have gone well.
I now get abs failure warning.
I've checked all the wheel sensors, and changed the brake light switch, but to no avail.

I read that Peugeot Planet is needed to bleed the system because of the abs and am wondering if this is all that is wrong or if the symptoms above are indicative of something else. There are no fluid leaks and all the hoses etc are good . Do I just have to use the PP method of bleeding?

HI....I suspect air has got to the abs modulator and there is a way of using planet/digbox to bleed brakes,(never needed it myself)for the brakes anyway...on my 407 I use a gunsons ezibleed that pushes fluid via a resevoir into the m/cyl and I bleed the brakes furthest from the cylinder..ie..n/s/r..o/s/r/..n/s/f..o/s/f/...done...may be worth trying they're not dear.....good luck..

If you dont have planet its worth a try....but keep a carefull eye on the resevoir...did you go for a fluid change as a service,2 year,item of was there a problem with the brakes to start with..?

Is there a nipple on the master cylinder to do too? I had a real nightmare doing a toledo until I realised there was one there too. (When I was young and stupid and thought I knew everything...)
