Hi All,
I'm new to the forum as i've just bought a problematic 807. 2.0 HDI EXEC.
When I bought it, it had the following issues:
1. Battery flat.
2. Fuel additive Low message on dash.
3. Fuel Filter blocked message.
4. Turbo issue when cold. Once engine starts to warn up, Turbo is fine.
1. The flat battery was caused by the alternator not working. Brought a brand spanking new one.
2. Fuel Additive Low message was due to the counter reaching zero for the fuel additive tank, I topped it up and I am in the process of installing PP2000 to reset the counter. The take was already half full! Someone must have been here before.
3. The fuel filter blocked message has nothing to do with the fuel filter but the dpf filter in the exhaust. I reluctantly forced a regeneration. Never doing that again! Revved the nuts off the poor thing but a big cloud out of the exhaust
That message has now gone after a ECU code reset and hasn't come back.
4. Turbo issue. This one has got me stuck for ideas. Maybe pp2000 can spread some light on it? What happens is, when I drive it from cold in the morning, there is no power and it will just about rev to 3000rpm. once the temp gauge reaches 60degC, off she blasts.
It is definately temp related, on a hot day, the distance driven till the turbo kicks in is vastly reduced. Any Ideas would be much appreciated.
5. I have a friend breaking a 2.2L HDI if there are any common parts I can rob. His cam belt went. screwed the engine. Grrrrrr but great for spares
Regards
Paul
