Just noticed that when it is raining the recesses that hold the nets in my 06 1.6HDI estate boot above the rear wheels are getting soaked.
Seals seem fine around the boot lid,all i can think of is that the water is being sprayed up from my wheels somehow and finding its way in.
I noticed it the other day and thought it was just wet from my pushchair.
I have also noticed that sometimes the rear seats underneath get damp.
Is this normal or what should i be looking out for.
Any help appreciated thanks in advance.:thumb:

I have a 54 307 SW and it doesn't have this problem, I doubt the water is coming in from the wheel arches as they have plastic liners in them.

Is it wet on both sides or just one?

Is there still an access port to the underside of the car (fuel tank?) under the rear seats?

Best bet would be to take out all the carpets, lift the seats then get someone to spray a hosepipe underneath.

On other cars I found the light cluster that lets water in.

Update, due to the bad weather my back seats underneath are getting wet looks like its starting from the seat belt fixing plates.
Its definitely coming in from underneath rear end, any ideas?
I have been quoted £80 just to have it looked at:rolleyes:

you do have the plastic liners dont you?

do they have all there plastic clips to hold it in place?

around the wheel arches the plastic should be on the inside of the edge

Yes mate all the liners are in place and behind the arch lip. Do they have any rubber stop/bung behind the liner that could be missing?
