Hi everyone i'm new to the site, signed up as i've scoured the internet for weeks trying to find definitive answers for a few head banging problems im dealing with.

Firstly, ive got the 2008 207cc 150thp engine, 34000miles and my boost is fluctuating under WOT and i cannot for the life of me find the problem, ive replaced map sensor, ive replaced the cam sensor(i think, if its the sensor at the right hand side rear of the rocker cover next to breather hose), ive looked at the BOV and it seems ok.

Ive read the problem could be a sensor under the inlet manifold, or the wastegate actuator itself, the spring fatigues??..... any idea guys before i drive it off a cliff?

thanks in advance folks.

just to be a little more detailed in the problem, under WOT it feels like im lifting my foot off then pressing it back on again about once per second, the car, surges then lets off, and repeats this all the way up the rev range

welcome along !!

tbh could be a number of things that's causing it.

your correct in mentioning the valve under the intake manifold, they can get stuck, the bov also can be an issue, then there is clogged inlet valves can cause hesitation, a slight boost leak somewhere and fuel quality, the THP engine tends not to like cheap low rated RON fuel.

if there were fault codes to go with the issue be easier to narrow things down, but at moment is a bit of needle in haystack situation.

Peugeot dealership? Or local garage? As generic code readers don't always pick up the faults unfortunately.

Re Forge..... that's the Bov they do, u can check condition of existing Bov urself to rule that out. Easy to do. Posted in various threads about it and some pics what to look for.

admittedly itll be the local first as its 20 euro, or if i go to peugeot out here its around 120 ive been told (robbing twunts)

im going to be modifying the car anyway so ill be buying the BOV and the alloy boost pipes with new hoses to eliminate leaks from there, ive checked the standard recirc valve and that's pretty much brand new looking so no problems there with cracks or wear. ive looked through the forum and the part number if im not mistaken for the solenoid if it comes to it is 1922 v6?

i can get to the manifold easily enough, but is there any specific order of things to get it off? im assuming you will reach all the required nuts n bolts from over the top of the engine?

i'll have a look for the details on the job online and see if its something i can contend with, i did the fuel feed line already which was a nightmare so im hoping its nothing worse than that! :thumb:

Thank you for help so far!
